I think t...Once again, you're too kind, sweets. I think the artists themselves made this post; my input was marginal. But, I must say one thing: all of the artists in this post, some born more than a hundred years ago, were so far ahead of their times that it's eerily astounding. They might all still be alive today... and that, in itself, is empowering.<br /><br />Re: required reading. Yes, especially for young women artists. They should know these women. Not one artist mentioned here gave a flying f* about what anyone thought about her; they were fierce! I look at Méret Oppenheims's photograph or Claude Cahun's self-portrait and I'm so proud of these women. They're my sisters.
